The family history of Phil and Cheri Sletten and related topics

Photo Project

In conjunction with this website and my ongoing family history research, I am scanning and organizing all of my research documents and photos that I have in my possession.    There are a number of photos that are unidentified.  This page will be an area where I can show/share these photos with others who may have information.  The images will not remain on this page permanently.  After a reasonable amount of time or when space is needed for more photos, they will be removed.

We think this was taken about the time that Del and Illena were married in 1953.

Who are the 2 women on the right of the picture?

This was taken at the 1994 Sletten Family Reunion about 2 weeks before Del died.  Seated at the picnic table:  Phil & Cheri Sletten, Illena Sletten.  Del Sletten is seated in the wheelchair.

Who is standing next to Del?

Clarence and Amanda Sletten's wedding party

This is Clarence and Amanda Sletten's wedding party.  Clarence and Amanda are seated in front.  In the back row:  Olga Rogness, Henry Larson, Myrtle Sletten, and Andrew or Alfred Rogness.

The questions are:  Is it Henry or Harry Larson?  Is it Andrew or Alfred Rogness?

V-Mail Christmas greeting from Del Sletten to Russ and Clarice Sletten

This is a Christmas greeting that Del sent to Russ and Clarice.  I am having trouble making out the C/O at the bottom of Noorlun's address.  Can you use your browser zoom to get a better look at it?  It is very small writing.

Berg family

Unknown house 1981

This was in with Auntie Vi's photos.  I have no idea whose house this is or even where it could be.  Certainly not MN with a mountain in the background.  Do they have trees like that in Phoenix?

Both Merlin and Martin agree that this is Florence and Steve's house in Orchard Gardens.

Barn - unknown date and location

I wonder if this barn goes along with the small house?  No clear consensus on this yet.  It may be a barn that the Bud & Doris Berg family lived in - in an apartment on the upper level- when they first came to MN.  Or it may have belonged to Florence and Steve.

Unknown couple in front of the unknown barn
The quality of this photo is poor, but I think it may be Vi and Joe.  I think that is the same barn in the background, but there doesn't seem to be snow on the ground in this picture.

These pictures were in with some that said "Trip to Glenwood Nov. 1942"  So it is possible that this a house and barn in Pope County, but who would it belong to?  I think that Bert and Mary had a larger house than that, although it was on a hill.  Dad drove me by it one time in the 1990s.  By then there were other houses around it.
